The Challenge:
As FNTS onboarded a large MFaaS client with a rapidly growing customer base, it sought a strategic partner to help support the client’s increasing transactions through mobile and web channels.
The challenges outlined were:
- Due to the increasing number of customers and transactions, FNTS’ client had batch and month-end processes that were consuming system resources required to process online transactions. FNTS sought additional support to meet batch and month-end processes in accordance with the client’s SLA.
- The client experienced an overlap of overnight batch workloads and next-day online transactions which impacted transaction response times.
- PR/SM enforced capping that affected the dispatching capacity for the Production LPAR.
- The need to optimize the IBM Sub-Capacity Software Pricing Model without compromising performance.
